  Similarities between the Governing Body and an abusive spouse

  i was looking at a list of methods used by abusive spouses to manipulate and control their "domain" and was struck by how similar the mentality is to the governing body's approach to the flock.

  obviously not everything on the list applies as there is no sexual component in the congregation and there is no physical contact, but the similarities were shocking.. http://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/domestic-violence-and-abuse.htm.

  @MAD Irishman: Speak for yourself. Did any of the above happen to you? You have some female friends... What did they tell you? Everything? Or just what they felt you could take, comphrend, listen to, which doesn't sound like much and most obviously, you coud never grow up to be a Professional Therapist dealing with abuse victims. You are a squirt kid talking out your butt about things you do not know! So maybe sit in the corner, with your face to the wall and keep your thoughts on abusive mates with such strong similaries between the Governing Body and WT to yourself and listen to what the adults have to say on this issue.

  I have often wanted to bring this analogy up, just as you have Zoos but I want to be happy every day and not think back to both my WT decades and an abusive mate of decades.

  It IS so very much the same thing.

  Heartsafire, Hello. It is so very nice to have you with us.

  This is a scenario that hopefully gently wakes your husband up and 'honors' his headship at the same time.

  What if you tell him the last time you were out, the householder mentioned that there is no 607 BCE in any literature, except WT literature. That it is a false date. Mention to your husband that you haven't looked up the date of when Babylon fell because what if the householder is correct? That means we are worshiping a false religion. What should we do? Do you think we could look it up together?

  The world is so wondrous and life is too precious to waste as free labor to a world wide real estate developement company.

  You and your father and friends are doing an excellent job trying to help fellow Koreans wake up to WT lies. A big thank you from me. I am fading and staying under the radar for now.

  PS AntiEntropy, Can you tell us if the JW brother's in Korea are still going to prison because of belonging to the Watch Tower (Real Estate and Redevelopement Company?) What a shock it will be for them to read any enlightening information that exposes Watch Tower lies. After they leave prison would you have any idea how their lives are? Is it hard for them to find work and have a successful life? Are there libraries in those prisons with computers? Is anyone 'allowed' to sign up and go as an outsider to those prisons and give 'community' information talks about JW's, as in real truth talks? Can your father donate some copies of his book to the prison libraries?

  i was coming out of sams club and i bumped into an elderly lady, probably late 70s early 80s.

  (i wasnt about to ask a lady what her age is.

  ) one of the workers was pushing a cart full of rib-eye steaks.

  Hahaha. Thank you for that bit of JDub Elder's displaying their brand of theocratic warfare. Someone tells you about horrific sexual abuse and you just can't remember? Disgusting creeps and they call themselves loving shepherds who innocent, kind hearted people are suppose to rely on and should go to as in finding shelter in a storm?

  Forget them!

  Who is going to step up and disfellowship these lying pieces of garbage?

  They should be kicked out of human society for they are not fit human beings. Over 1000 abusers and no one calls the Police because the WT publishing house and worldwide real estate development company doesn't want any bad publicity!

  i always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.

  i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.

  so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

  So that means, here on the American West Coast, we tune in at 6PM Thursday, to watch the Australian Royal Commission on their Friday, grill Jackson at 11AM. (17 hours apart).

  Ohhhh. What fun!
